- Heavier soiling such as bird dropping or stains can be dealt with using warm water and a cleaning solution. Let it soak in for a few minutes and then scrub it out. Avoid aggressive chemical cleaners or high pressure washers. These can damage the material. The awning fabric cannot be washed in a washing machine.

- Allow the awning to properly dry before you retract it again. Otherwise mould may form.
