Statics solution from WAREMA: An improvement of the structural strength of roller shutters is possible and can be achieved through the different measures listed here.
Top-mounted elements in standard models contain no window-stabilising or load-transferring components between the window and structure as standard. The planner or customer is responsible for determining the structural strength (wind load) on the basis of the window profile selected. The decision as to which of these different options should be used must be made by the person performing the installation. WAREMA does not make static calculations.
Your local WAREMA dealer will be happy to advise you on various use options in greater detail!
If the required standard classes are not achieved either by the window frame or a window frame reinforcement, structural consoles for improving statics are optionally available. These are delivered loose or embedded in the box depending on the roller shutter model, and must be screwed firmly to the structure. Structural consoles ensure that the wind loads affecting the window are absorbed and diverted into the structure.
Can be used with top-mounted roller shutters AU-RO with steel window adapter profiles, top-mounted roller shutters for new buildings NA-RO, inside inspection, with standard or clip fixing window attachment on steel window adapter profiles and for top-mounted roller shutters for new buildings NA-RO outside inspection with window adapter profile via plastic profile with steel stiffener profile (standard) or by clip fixing via steel window adapter profile
The steel window adapter profile is available in two versions (long and short) and can be used for top-mounted roller shutters AU-RO and top-mounted roller shutters for new buildings. The long profile can be used for window frame thicknesses of 70-92 mm, the short profile for window frame thicknesses of min. 70 mm (without max. limit). They increase the moment of inertia ly of the window (recommended for order width > 1600 mm). The steel window adapter profile area moment of inertia: long: ly = 8.3 cm4 | short: ly = 2.4 cm4.
